UNSW rural clinical school
As Media Officer for UNSW Medicine's Rural Clinical School, I'm responsible for promoting the school's program and how it helps to train the next generation of Indigenous and rural medical students.
As part of a broad media strategy, I have integrated digital and traditional media that highlights our activities to target audiences. Digital media includes our website and social media platforms like Facebook, Youtube and Twitter, while traditional media takes in media releases, annual reports and printed promotional materials.
I have been solely responsible for producing these media products, as well as a series of videos where students chat about their experiences studying at the Rural Clinical School.
My stories have also been featured in the UNSW newsroom, such as this one on Indigenous rural student Riley Bennett, who was told by his high school careers adviser that he should be a baker, but he took inspiration from his traditional healer grandmother, and now is on his way to becoming a doctor.
