cancer council nsw - Digital Content Producer

In my role at Cancer Council NSW, I drive and strengthen online engagement, and enhance the reputation of the Cancer Council brand.

I do this by rolling out innovative and best practice communications methods.

I develop and enhance online content that helps people with cancer learn more about their conditions and their care and treatment options.

I produce and roll-out all digital content for CCNSW's Cancer Information Unit, including web copy, video content and more.

I analyse data using Google Analytics, and implement strategies based on this data to improve our website's SEO.

So far I’ve boosted our page hits, from around 500,000 to over 1.5 million a year.

I also co-produce the popular podcast series The Thing About Cancer, which was a finalist at the 2018 Australian Podcast Awards. Hosted by popular broadcaster, comedian and cancer survivor, Julie McCrossin, our podcast series delves into areas of cancer that often aren't spoken about as much, like sex and cancer, sleep, managing relationships and more.

I am involved in all parts of this production, from scripting, to recording and direction of talent, to audio editing. I also scripted, shot and edited a series of videos that promote our podcast series through organic social media and SEM.
